OUR VETERINARIANS


Dr. Kevin Dale Schramm:  Dr. Kevin Dale Schramm was born and raised in Cedar City, Utah. After graduating high School in 1988, Kevin attended Southern Utah University and graduated in 1992 with a B.S. in zoology.  He entered Colorado State University School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in 1993.  During his time at CSU, he met and married one of his classmates, Adrienne, in 1996.  They graduated in 1997 and Kevin immediately began working at a veterinary emergency clinic in the Denver area.  Six months later, he and Adrienne purchased a 36-foot fully equipped mobile veterinary clinic and started up their own business, Schramm Mobile Veterinary Clinic, which provided convenient home-to-home veterinary service.  After about two years, it was time to move into a stationary building and thus Kevin and Adrienne opened Paws'N Claws Veterinary Clinic in January 2000.  Kevin is also a graduate of the CSU Medical Acupuncture for Veterinarians course.  His interests include surgery, dentistry, preventative medicine and pain control

Kevin enjoys many outdoor activities such as camping, fishing, hunting, and motorsports.  He has a son from a previous marriage, and he and Adrienne have a daughter, and two sons.  Kevin and his family have two dogs: a German Shepherd, and a Black Lab.  They currently reside in Wellington, Colorado. 


Dr. Adrienne Schramm:  Dr. Adrienne Schramm was born and raised in the Bay Area, California. During her high school years, Adrienne also attended a nearby college and graduated high school in 1981 with an A.A. degree. Adrienne then attended the University of California at Riverside and graduated in 1983 with a B.A. in music. In 1984, she entered the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, acquiring a Bachelor of Music in voice performance in 1988 and a Master of Music in the same subject in 1990. Adrienne then made a career change and entered Colorado State University School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in 1993. During her time at Colorado State University, she met and married one of her classmates, Kevin in 1996. They graduated in 1997 and started their own business with a fully equipped 36ft mobile veterinary clinic. In 2000, Kevin & Adrienne decided to move to a stationary building & opened Paws 'N Claws Veterinary Clinic.

Adrienne's hobbies include music, photography, and spending as much time as possible with her family. Adrienne and Kevin have a daughter, two sons & two dogs: a German Shepherd, and a Black Lab. They currently reside in Wellington, Colorado.

 


Dr. Dayna Edwards:  Dr. Dayna Edwards was born in Sandwich, Illinois but has lived in Northern Colorado for most of her life.  Dayna received her Bachelor of Science degree with a minor in Mathematics from Colorado State University in 1993. After graduating, Dayna began working for Colorado State University in their laboratory animal facility and in 1997 she got the opportunity to work for the USDA at the National Wildlife Research Center. Dayna graduated from Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in May of 2002.  Dayna is the 2002 inaugural recipient of the prestigious Human-Animal Bond Centered Practice Award given by the Argus Institute at Colorado State University. Dayna joined Paws 'N Claws Veterinary Clinic in May of 2002. 

Outside of work, Dayna enjoys spending time with her husband Michael and their hysterical, fun-loving Basset Hound named “Flash”. She also enjoys fishing, tying flies, reading, swimming, spending time with family and watching movies.


OUR STAFF


Kristi: Kristi is the Office Manager at Paws ‘N Claws Veterinary ClinicShe was born in Oklahoma and attended Oklahoma State University. Kristi moved to Colorado from Florida and has been a part of the staff since March, 2003.

 Kristi enjoys traveling & spending time with family & friends. Her animal family include a cat & two dogs.    


Jen: Jen is a technician at Paws ‘N Claws Veterinary Clinic. She was born in Columbia, Missouri. Shortly after turning three years old, her family moved to Springfield, Missouri where she was raised and attended high school.  During her high school years, she kept busy playing soccer, cross country running, and diving for the swim team.  After high school, Jen attended the University of Missouri-Rolla where she majored in biological sciences and received a minor in chemistry.  After college she decided to move west to the great state of Colorado. Jen started working for Paws ‘N Claws Veterinary Clinic in April 2004.

Jen enjoys the outdoors. Her free time is spent hiking, climbing, camping & snow boarding. Jen lives with her two cats, Ernie & Olive. 


Elton:  Elton joined the Paws 'N Claws Veterinary team as a kennel assistant in September 2006. He was born and raised in Carlsbad, New Mexico. Elton attended New Mexico State University & Texas Tech University. He is working on his bachelor's degree in zoology & hopes to attend vet school at CSU.

Elton lives with his wife, daughter, dog & cat. He enjoys spending time with family, going to the mountains & watching movies.


Marjorie:  Marjorie, a Colorado native; joined our team as a receptionist in June 2007. She is married and has three wonderful boys.  

Marjorie enjoys spending time with family exploring the out doors.


Heather:  Joined the Paws 'N Claws team in January 2008 as a Certified Veterinary Technician. She was born in Indianapolis, IN  and moved to Colorado in 1994. Heather graduated from Bel-Rea Institute of Veterinary Technology in 1998. She continued her education at CSU completing her undergraduate work in animal science in 2001. Heather then relocated to Nebraska but missed Colorado and moved back in January 2008.

Heather enjoys hanging out with her daughter and their many critters.
